Antigua Real in Mukwonago

I was disappointment on the flavor of the food. I rated 1 start because the coffee and lemonade was good. Wouldn't recommend.

We love having this place only 5 minutes from home! They are delightful on the phone for curbside pick up, the flour chips and anything with shrimp is yummy, and our kids could live off the rice if we let them! Supporting local is easy with them!

This is absolutely the best Latin American / Mexican restaurant in Mukwonago. It is definitely in the top 3 in Waukesha. We went there with a table of 8. Every single dish was fantastic. Chicken, beef, shrimp, carnitas, and vegetarian. Seasoned and served beautifully with great customer service. Highly recommend.

Great selection of dishes! The meals are well put together. The servers are nothing but nice and the food is always on point.

Very good food and service

We really enjoyed our dinner here the past couple times. The dishes we have enjoyed are; chicken mole, chili rellenos, steak and shrimp chimichanga and the seafood chimichanga. The black beans are great and I wish the plantains came with every meal. Side of salsa Verde for a hot sauce request was great. We'll be back, thank you for being safe during these times. At the moment you enter this place the stuff gives you a pleasant feeling. Very comfortable crew, it is a nice place to go out with your friends or with your date. heavenly cooking, talented chief cook and stuff, comfortable pay and excellent service. Highly recommended.

So much potential and always falls just short of really good. Excellent service, wonderful and friendly staff - tequila selection is nice and they pour some tasty beverages. The food, I keep coming back because I want it to be great. But the spicy (not heat, but blend) is just not spicy enough. All the flavors seem slightly muted. If only the food were as vibrant as some of the decor. Don't let it stop you, though. It's good, just not great.

Chips and salsa on the house. Good margarita. Four of us ordered different items and everyone was happy with their meal.

Absolutely love Antigua Real! The food is always sensational and the atmosphere is warm, inviting. And quiet. I like not having to shout at my husband from across the table.

Very authentic Guatemalan food. Food was delicious and fresh. I just wish the portions were a bit more. Also I felt the price of an appetizer was high since the portion was small. Service was good. I'd definitely recommend and plan to return.

Food is excellent, service is good, however, be aware, if you’re in a group, (we were 10 couples) , & ask for separate checks, they will REQUIRE each couple to pay a 20% tip. We were the only couple paying cash, with a cash tip, my husband left an18% CASH tip, the server returned & explained loudly that my husband needed to pay $1.50 more. Rather embarrassing.

One of my favorites! Everything I have ever had is delicious. Definitely give the tamale appetizer a try. I could have eaten just that alone as a meal.

DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE HAVING METAL IN YOUR FOOD!!! MUST READ BELOW.Ok so I have been coming here over and over for the last year and the food has been pretty good, until today. I went there with four guys from work and we all had the El Ranchero burrito. We all though tut was just as good as every other time we went until the last bite. One of the guys I was with got a nail, like a nail you hang pictures with in his food. I wish I would've taken a picture but was so amazed that there was actually a nail in his food that I completely forgot. We told the waitress, an older lady that might have been the manager, and she said she would have to talk to her meat supplier. She walked away and came back with our bill and said that she took one of the lunches off. Personally i thought they should've given us the whole meal for free. None of us will be going back.

The food is really good. It’s fresh and well prepared. Recommend the Alamo Burrito!

Delicious and unique food, especially the fish selections.

Rice and beans were barely warm. But everything tasted good. Chimichanga portion was way smaller than I had expected.

Food is very good. Was disappointed that I got scolded for wanting plastic silverware. We traveled from far and wanted to eat while the food was hot. We spent over $40! Why do you want to lose business over plastic silverware!
